About Me One day, I woke up and decided to share my thoughts. My name is Ethel Rene’e Darnell. I’m a fourth-generation Oaklander, a mother to a 29-year-old son, and a grandmother to a beautiful six-year-old girl. I love to travel, drive up the coast, and visit century-old buildings, each holding its own story. In 2019, I explored four countries—Haiti, Spain, France, and Italy—each leaving an imprint on my soul. But no matter where I go, I always find peace by the water. The ocean, with its rhythmic waves, soothes my spirit in a way nothing else can. I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration, specializing in Public Management and Policy Analysis. But beyond my credentials, I am a storyteller at heart. Writing has been my refuge for years—a place where I can express myself freely, without rules or judgment.
