Do not suffer in silence. Reach out and touch someone’s hand. You are loved! You are not a burden.
I’ve suffered in silence. I would like for you to know, you are not alone. It’s a challenge not knowing who you can trust and who you can’t trust.
Don’t get me wrong, if your antennae’s are up pay close attention.
If folks are choppping up others business, trust me they’re chopping up your as well.
Mouths running like a water faucet. Be aware.
If you can’t find a person to trust. Reach out to a stranger. Yep! A stranger. Talk with your Doctor, Beautician, grocery, make new friends. Try Virtual courses.
Trust me God will send you someone to be there for you.
About Me
One day, I woke up and decided to share my thoughts.
What began as a quiet release became a rhythm — and eventually, a calling.
My name is Ethel Rene’e Darnell, a fourth-generation Oaklander rooted in history, resilience, and perspective. I’ve been blogging since 2018, using my platform as a space to reflect, question, process, and tell the truth — even when it’s uncomfortable.
I am the mother of a remarkable 35-year-old son and the proud grandmother of a brilliant 12-year-old granddaughter. Watching two generations grow in real time has deepened my understanding of legacy, responsibility, and the power of example. Motherhood shaped me. Grandmotherhood refined me.
Travel stretches my thinking and feeds my soul. In 2019, I explored Haiti, Spain, France, and Italy — each country imprinting something different on my spirit. Still, no matter how far I journey, I always return to the water. The ocean restores me. Its rhythm reminds me to breathe, to trust, to release.
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a specialization in Public Management and Policy Analysis. Strategy lives in my mind. Storytelling lives in my heart.
This blog is where those worlds meet.
Here, I write about personal reflection, social issues, business insight, mindset shifts, caregiving, growth, and the untold stories that often go unheard. I don’t write for noise. I write for clarity. I write because words have power — to heal, to disrupt, to awaken, and to connect.
This is not just a blog.
It’s lived experience.
It’s perspective earned over time.
It’s truth — unfiltered.
Welcome to my world.
I’m grateful you’re here.
