“Shame dies when stories are told in safe places.” — Ann Voskamp

There is so much power in finally being able to tell your story without fear of judgment, ridicule, rejection, or being blamed for what happened to you.

Sometimes we carry shame that was never ours to carry.

We stay silent because we’re afraid of what people will think. Afraid they won’t understand. Afraid they’ll minimize our experience or use our vulnerability against us.

But healing can begin when you find a safe place — and safe people — where you can finally speak your truth.

Your story doesn’t make you weak.
Your past doesn’t define your worth.
And what happened to you does not have to remain a secret forever.

Tell your story when you’re ready. Tell it where you are safe. And remember: you don’t have to be ashamed of surviving. ❤️
